Orora expands into new category with glass food jars

Leading sustainable glass bottle maker, Orora, has expanded its offering in the food category, with the production of 500ml, 375ml, 300ml and 250ml glass jars.

Home grown heroes, Spring Gully Foods, were the first to take delivery of Orora’s new 500ml glass jars to package their Sweet Spiced Gherkin Rounds. Spring Gully Foods had been importing their jars from overseas and were keen to switch to Australian-made glass jars.

Spring Gully’s Sweet Spiced Gherkin Rounds in Orora jars are now available in supermarkets across Australia.

Greg Savage, Senior Vice President - Asia Pacific, said that the new category was an exciting step forward for Orora.

Mr Savage went on to say that whilst Orora has four jar sizes currently available, they are in discussion with potential customers about creating additional food jar solutions.
